The Eleventh Annual KohOscars (Best of 2025)

Welcome back to the KohOscars! 2025 was an exciting year and that translates in our 11th KohOscars award ceremony. A huge thanks to this year's nominating body: Caleb Boatman, Michael Campbell, Scott Harvey, Payson Johnson, John Maher, Amaru Moses, Cody Newberry, Paul Oyama, Cameron Redshaw, Adelaide Spence, & Dylan Vanthuyne. This year, we added the category of Best First Feature. The most nominations was taken home by Sinners with eighteen, breaking the record for most nominations previously held by Everything Everywhere All at Once. One Battle After Another finished with the second most with fifteen. Marty Supreme received the third most with eleven nominations. With nine recognitions, Frankenstein received the most nominations for any film without receiving a Best Picture nomination. This year saw a record three international films nominated for Best Picture. Sinners won the most awards with seven wins. It is also the first film with an all minority producing team to win Best Picture. Ryan Coogler becomes the first Black man to win Best Director. Timothee Chalamet set the record for the youngest performance to win Best Actor at 29 years old.
