The Tenth Annual KohOscars (Best of 2024)

Ten years ago, I started these awards with the intention of sharing love in the space of online film discourse. I could have never imagined it's where it is now. We have a streaming home on Multiplex Entertainment, we are hosting live awards, and our nomination body hit a record high with fifteen voting members. A huge thanks to them: Madie Bahl, Caleb Boatman, Michael Campbell, Scott Harvey, Cameron Holzmann, Payson Johnson, Kirk Kowalkowski, Rajko Krminac, John Maher, Cody Newberry, Paul Oyama, Cameron Redshaw, Lucas Schildbach, Adelaide Spence, & Dylan Vanthuyne. This year, we did not add any categories. However, it is the final year that we will be awarding the categories of Best Young Actor, Best Comic Book Movie, and Best Soundtrack. We also officially changed the name of Best Ensemble to Best Casting. The most nominations was taken home by Wicked with fifteen. Conclave and Dune: Part Two tied for second most with thirteen. The Brutalist received the third most with ten nominations. With eight recognitions, Nosferatu received the most nominations for any film without receiving a Best Picture nomination. Jane Schoenbrun became the first non-binary person to be nominated for Best Director.
